If you’ve never joined us for our annual (and so very fun!) Pre-Turkey Hill Climb event\, our driveway is about ½ mile long with a pretty intense incline. DESCRIPTION:Kick off January 2026 with The Jan Plan Hike + Hill Climb at Dirt Farm!\nThe holidays have come and gone and we know what some of you are thinking! “It’s time for a break”\, “It’s time to do Dry January”\, “It’s time for THE JAN PLAN!”. We hear you and we support you! Whatever wellness journey you may be on to kick off the New Year\, we are right there with you and we want to join in on the fun! \nLet’s kick it off with a little hill climb!\nTo celebrate the Jan Plan\, we are opening the driveway and The Trails every Saturday and Sunday through January from 10-11am for you to walk the hill or take a hike in the woods! If you’ve never joined us for our annual (and so very fun!) Pre-Turkey Hill Climb event\, our driveway is about ½ mile long with a pretty intense incline. This makes it a great\, challenging\, and fun-to-do-with-a-friend workout! \nYou’re welcome to join us each weekend throughout January to park at the top of the hill and enjoy a nice walk\, up and down the driveway\, as many times as you’d like until 11am when our taps and kitchen open for business! Please keep in mind this is a working driveway\, so walk and drive with caution. If there is winter weather\, please check our website to make sure the Taproom is open before coming to walk! \nOnce you are finished with your walk\, join us in the taproom for some warm bites! Grab a farm fresh beer or one of our Athletic Brewing Company Non-Alcoholic beers…we have them available by the glass or as a 6-pack to go! Athletic Brewing Co. makes the most delicious NA beers\, and we are so proud to carry them in the taproom\, not just through January\, but all year round! DESCRIPTION:Join us for Phase III: 2024 Bourbon Barrel Barleywine Release at Dirt Farm Brewing on December 13\, 2025!\nWe are so excited to announce ‘Phase III’ of our 2024 Bourbon Barrel Barleywine Release. We put our 2024 Barleywine into fresh Heaven Hill Distillery Bourbon Barrels in December 2024 and we are planning a slow release to give you the ultimate tasting experience. Enjoy a glass of this beverage after one month\, six months and 12 months aging in the bourbon barrels. \nAt each release you can enjoy your Bourbon Barrel Barleywine by the glass or in a bottle to take home. This beer ages well so it can be stored away in your cellar for years to come! Once we’ve released all stages of this beer\, you can enjoy a vertical tasting in the Taproom\, or grab all three bottles to hold on to or gift! \nThis is a limited release – don’t miss your chance to get this unique tasting experience! \nAbout The Barleywine Release:\nPhase I was released on January 18. For this release\, our 2024 Barleywine will have spent one month in the Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels. This beer has more of a strong malt backbone with a prominent hop flavor than we are used to with our typical aged barleywine. There should be a slight hint of oak\, vanilla and caramel\, however there will be plenty of room for the flavor to grow over the year! \nPhase II was released on June 28 – This beer will be aged for six months in Heaven Hill Distillery Bourbon Barrels. This beer should have a noticeable influence from the Bourbon Barrels\, with the oak and vanilla flavors developing nicely alongside the malt and hop characteristics from the barleywine. You should also find a little warmth behind the booziness of this beverage as it starts to take on more of the bourbon notes from the barrel. \nPhase III will be released on December 13\, and will be available by the glass or in a bottle to go. We are expecting this beer to be the smoothest and richest with the influence of 12 months in the barrel! This beer will be sweet and boozy with a more mellow malt and hop profile. The heat from the bourbon will be noticeable but it will blend seamlessly with the vanilla and oak flavors from the barrel. \nMake sure to grab a vertical tasting pack with all three bottles\, they make great gifts and the flavor will evolve as they age in your cellar! \nWhether you’re coming out from Washington D.C.\, Alexandria\, Arlington\, or Baltimore\, or you’re just cruising over from Round Hill\, Purcellville\, Clarke County\, or Winchester\, we’re always glad to welcome friendly faces here in Bluemont – near or far.
