Zac Townsend and The Mudcats LIVE at Dirt Farm

Enjoy a high-energy blend of blues, rock, and Americana from Zac Townsend & The Mudcats. We first heard this group open up for Low Water Bridge Band, and we’ve been counting down the days until we could give them a show of their own up here on the mountain!
Born and raised in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Zac Townsend has been immersed in the rich musical traditions of the Shenandoah Valley and beyond since he first took the stage at just 14 years old.
After getting his start in rock and metal bands, Townsend developed a signature grit in his voice and an energetic stage presence that still shine through today. He seamlessly blends that raw intensity with the soulful sounds of Americana, country, and blues, creating a style that’s both powerful and authentic.
Influenced by artists like Danny O’Keefe, The Devil Makes Three, Jason Isbell, and Tyler Childers, Townsend’s music resists being confined to a single genre. Instead, his songs offer a dynamic mix of heartfelt storytelling, rugged vocals, and roots-driven musicianship that’s sure to resonate with a wide range of listeners.
Live music will be set up on the patio and seating will be available on our three tiered large patio or in our spacious lawn area. Personal chairs and blankets are welcome and encouraged if you’d like to sit in our lawn. No coolers, outside food, alcohol, or backpacks are permitted. We’ll have plenty of beer and food available!
General Admission: $15 and includes your first beverage (beer or NA). This is an outdoor, rain or shine event. Tickets are non-refundable. Children 10 and under are free.
Our taproom will be closing early for this private event, so if you want to stick around you must purchase a ticket! Taproom hours of operation are 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Last call at 5:30 p.m. If you get here a little early, no worries, just check in with someone at the bar and we’ll get you a drink and your wristband!
We hope to see you on the mountain for one helluva good time and great tunes for two hours straight!
