Grand Opening of The Trails!
June 29, 2024 - June 30, 2024

Join us for the Grand Opening of The Trails on June 29 & 30, 2024!
We are excited to announce the grand opening of our 3.5 mile wooded trail located at Dirt Farm Brewing! This trail is currently open to our customers for foot traffic, but Mountain Biking will be coming soon. With 400 ft. elevation change throughout the trail, hikers and bikers are going to be in for quite the adventure!
As Dirt Farm approaches our 9th anniversary we continue to develop ways to bring people together to enjoy a beautiful day and experience Bluemont. Our farm brewery opened as a “fermentation” extension to our family produce farm, Great Country Farms.
When ideas for growth start “brewing” and opportunities arise to expand our brand and offerings come up, we always turn to our mission statement. With our philosophy, “Dirt Don’t Hurt” we strive to provide a space that is close to nature and creates a sense of place, authentic attachment and belonging to our guests, our staff, and our family.
We’ve held many types of movement focused events such as morning hikes at our annual Pre-Turkey Hill Climb, yoga on the patio, 5k + 10k races throughout the property and we’ve even had running, walking, biking, rucking and downhill longboarding events that conquer the large hill which is our driveway…wellness is a natural fit on our farm in Bluemont.
Tucked in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountainside, we’ve been blessed to use this beautiful land by our families, from the kids and dogs to our staff and friends. We wanted to provide the opportunity for our customers to enjoy and utilize even more of our spectacular terrain through a health centered activity, and so the Trails were born!
How to get to the trail head:
To get to the trailhead, head on up to Dirt Farm Brewing at 18701 Foggy Bottom Road, Bluemont, Virginia 20135, and head to the south end of the parking lot! Feel free to come on in and ask our staff for directions. The main loop is 3.5 miles long with a 400ft elevation change. The trail will open when the business opens, and will close one hour prior to business closing. Please, no visitors before or after hours as this is our families private property. No outside food, drinks or alcohol. Friendly dogs are welcome and must remain on a leash at all times.
How to support the trails:
With this new endeavor our hope is that our customers can take advantage of this wooded trail open during business hours. This trail will be maintained by our farmhands and we know it will be utilized by many! We’d love your support during this time to make these trails a success.
There are a couple of ways to help:
1. Grab a bite from the Kitchen Workshop or enjoy a pint on the patio once you’ve finished your hike! Your continued support in our family business allows us to continue expanding our offerings, such as the new trails! Can’t stay? Grab some beer to take home with you!
2. Scan the QR code at the trail head to make a donation towards trail maintenance. This is a private trail, your donations will help preserve the trail.
Our trail is officially open and we hope that our customers will come on out and enjoy a nice walk through the woods! The trail will open during our posted business hours and will close one hour prior to Dirt Farm closing, so please plan your visit accordingly.
We are excited to announce that, while the trails are exclusively open for foot traffic at the time being, we are working towards this being a multi-use trail with Mountain Biking coming soon! To follow along on our mountain biking project and updates to the trails, please look for information on our website and join our email list.
